?????????????

We’ve all heard that eccentric exercise is supposedly more important for muscle building than concentric exercise, but how and why? The study reviewed today talks about special proteins involved in the repair process from negatives called heat shock proteins. This is followed by some practical discussion on the complexity of eccentric exercise response and some quick tips on how to integrate negatives into training as well as comments on previous episodes 37 and 85 which went much more in depth on how to integrate negatives into training. John always reviews the full text of every article, but to see the abstract of the study discussed, click here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24699855
